Cru Kitchen: The Rising Patisserie in Town

I really love sweets, desserts and chocolates and who doesn't love them? But i have never documented and nor researched these escapades so this will be my first time.

For my first blogpost I would like to introduce a patisserie that's catching the eye of many patrons as well as my eye around Metro Manila. This patisserie is called "Cru Kitchen" named after its owner, Cory Roxas Untalan". Now as a culinary student I have a bit of knowledge around desserts and I must say that this store has its own originality especially to one of it's best sellers the "Quezo de Bola Cheesecake". When i heard of it for the first time, I thought Cream Cheese would already give that salty and sweet combination down. When I finally had a slice it does smell like queso de bola but the combination of flavors turned out to be divine. The salty and sweet combination was really good but there was a savory flavor coming from the queso de bola that doesn't  fill up your senses easily. After that first slice it's like I wanted another and another non-stop. It was a delight eating this and I hope that others will have the same experience as mine. I knew right then and there I had to know the person who's idea this came from.

I got the chance to interview the owner a bit and I found out she was a real nice working mom. She established her business in her own home. I know that's a bit difficult since desserts, especially chocolate and cakes are hard to make in a small space but she was able to manage all that. I haven't got the chance to visit her home but I  know it would be like heaven.

So here's the rest of my research and I hope you find this very interesting and give it a try:
